Pilar De La Horadada
Located in the Vega Baja district, Alicante province, Comunidad de Valencia and with a municipal area of approximately 78.60 km^2,Pilar de la Horadada is located on the Costa Blanca coastline between Torrevieja and San Javier, 10 minutes drive from Murcia (San Javier) airport and about 50 minutes from Alicante Airport. This lovely town is based around a newly restored town square containing a magnificent church. Religious festivals are held throughout the year, which the whole town celebrates. One example of these festivals is Semana Santa (Holy week) in which people of the town carry large religous figures through the streets accompanied by marching bands.
